Popular SGP Political Forum Inaccessible
It is now 0100hr 3.Jan.2007 Wednesday. I had found Singapore's highly popular cyber political forum Sammyboymod completely inaccessible in the past few hours. It is not possible to reach the server on the Internet via various methods and I had tried more than one ISP.
The following is the Linux TraceRoute via StarHub MaxOnLine:# traceroute forums.delphiforums.com
traceroute to forums.delphiforums.com (66.128.67.79), 30 hops max, 40 byte packets

It was last accessible about 16 hours before now, and was accessible during the past fiew days since the earthquake related Internet Outage received some temporary rerouting. I found it to be inaccessible from late hours of 2.Jan.2007 but problem might had occurred some time before my discovery.
Indeed not just this forum but entire Delphifourms.com & Prospero.com are inaccessible. The above traceroute showed that the request did not even get out beyond the StarHub gateway. Seemingly all other political blogs and websites that I had tested in the past few minutes were accessible. However the fault seems to be in Singapore as indicated by the traceroute.
:-(
The main reason why I posted this here is help fellow forummers to cross-verify the experience with this outage.
This additional paragraph is 10:16hr 3.Jan.07, about 10 hour after I posted the forum outage news. It is up now, the following notice was emailed to me by Sam Leong, which explained the outage. It seems to be a double cable fault in USA:

Engineers have been working on this problem since it was reported just after 8 a.m. Eastern time and continue to do so.
Unfortunately, we have no estimated time of repair. We will update this page periodically as we get more information.
